Altered Frame

Hello Everyone and Happy Saturday! I have a small project that I've been working on as a test run for other projects. I got the idea to create altered picture frames to sell at our local Farmer's Market. I usually have a booth there and I sell everything from Close to my Heart Idea Books, handmade cards, tags, exploding boxes, etc. I'm always looking for other projects to sell and share, so when I found this frame at Michaels Arts & Crafts the other day I thought I'd give it a try.

This started out as a plain wood frame, then I painted it with a custom blend of black and brown Apple Barrel Acrylic paints. The on the front I added the Gabrielle Flight paper from BoBunny. Then I added more paint around the edges to blend the edge of the paper and I sealed the whole frame with Ranger's Glue N' Seal (which is a way better product than Mod Podge).

To decorate I the blank space on the left side of the frame I used an Ornate Plate from Tim Holtz (the stamped sentiment is from a Close to my Heart set), I Am Roses flowers/skeleton leaves, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Old Lace, Walnut Gold, Dragonfly) and Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Spray in Red Hot Poker Orange.

I hope you enjoyed this and thanks for stopping by!
Chelsey
