6 Simple Beach Layouts

I know summer is gone but I just had to share these layouts from a class that I taught last night at Scribbles & Giggles in Rocky Mountain House. It was a fun, fast paced class with lots of distressing and Stickles! I hope you enjoy and maybe even find some inspiration to get all your summer photos scrapped. The paper I used was the Fancy Pants Beach Bum line.

Creating a Mess

Hello Scrappers.

I wanted to show you today the creative mess I got into while taking Jennifer McGuire's Inspiration Showcase class. This was the first class I've taken online and I absolutely loved it! You can go in and check out the videos whenever you have time, there are forums and places to leave comments/ask questions and best of all I walked away with a whole binder ring full of technique cards that I can incorporate into future cards.

The class was designed as a canvas showing different hearts with different techniques. I did little swatch cards instead so that I could write on the back and remember what I did. This is a great thing to do because when I feel a little low on inspiration or having trouble deciding what technique I want to use all I have to do in glance through the cards.

Jennifer McGuire is doing another class soon called Christmas Card Boot Camp (or something like that) and I would highly recommend her classes! She is a great teacher and she throws in a lot of little bonus things that she does that makes her crafting easier.
Here are the techniques I learned and how I store them. I will do some cards and projects over the next couple of months showing a few of these techniques.

TTFN,
Chelsey

Shabby Chic Frame

I have rarely experimented with the Shabby Chic style, instead I usually go for more grungy, distressed or vintage looks. However, I had a blast creating this altered frame which I'm going to be teaching in October at Scrapbooker's Paradise. I love the lushness of Shabby Chic projects and all the layers of gorgeous trims are just luxurious!

So here is my take on a Shabby Chic project I hope you like it and feel free to post links to your own projects down in the comments box!

Sizzix Card Class

Well apparently I haven't become any more faithful at posting to my blog...maybe one day I will magically become a fantastic blogger! Well until that day I will just keep trying to update you and share new things with you as I find them. I have recently joined Pinterest which is an online bulliten board where everyone "pins" pictures from around the web on everything from home, food, gifts, fashion, crafts, DIY, etc. It is amazing to just cruise through there and see all kinds of amazing things from around the world. You should check it out if you haven't already!

So onto crafting topics, I have been busy designing classes for Scrapbooker's Paradise and Scribbles & Giggles. I will share some of those classes here on my blog over the next few days and then hopefully I will have some of my own classes (the ones I teach at my home) to share with you.

Here is a three card class that I created using many different Sizzix dies including Tim Holtz and Movers & Shapers dies. I hope you enjoy!
