Customer Appreciation Day

This past weekend I hosted a customer appreciation day as a thank you to all the people who take classes, place Close to my Heart orders and attend my various events. Once a year I try to do something whether its a crop or an open house just to do something free for my customers. I love what I do and it's because of all the great ladies who take my classes from me that I can keep creating, sharing and teaching.

I thought it would be fun to show you how I set up the seasonal displays and if you missed out then you can still see what I had on display. I love doing displays and I thought it would be fun to show crafting and home decor ideas for Fall, Halloween and Christmas projects.
Gift bags bags for everyone and door prizes. The far table holds some upcoming classes.

Table for two different make and takes: One Halloween tag and one Christmas card.

 Halloween themed table.

Fall themed table. I used all kinds of distressed looking projects or anything will a fall color theme. Not all projects on this table related directly to fall because I wanted to use a broader range of my work.

Cricut table showcasing the new Close to my Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, stamps, chipboard pieces and projects. I love all the little boxes and things that can be made with this cartridge.

Of course we have to have some yummy treats!

 Christmas themed table.

Well that's it for another year! Now it's time to focus on some other projects, classes and items to sell at my upcoming Christmas Bazaar. I made several other things this past week which I will try and share with you all over the next few days.

Happy Scrapping,

Halloween Tag

Well for the first time I am starting to get into Halloween! Usually I don't really pay too much attention to all the scrapbooking projects that go on centered around Halloween, but this year for some reason I'm really loving it! There are so many beautiful and spooky tags, cards, layouts, and home decor items out there that I feel inspired to create some myself.

This next week I will be at my local scrapbooking store Scrapbooker's Paradise doing a make & take with the tag below. I used the Authentic Halloween papers, a Stampendous spiderweb stamp, a Tim Holtz Alphabet die, On the edge picket fence die and the Tim Holtz tree die which I cut in half so it would fit on the tag.

For the fence I colored the grunge paper with Weathered Wood Distress stain, then I applied a thick coat of Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint (have you seen the large jars of this yet?!) After that was dried I rubbed the Black Soot Distress Stain over top. This gave a really cool effect and then I made the fence 3D by attaching the ends to the tag but giving it some slack in the middle. Over all I really enjoyed making this tag and I plan to work on a few more projects. I bought the Fancy Pants paper pack and the Close to my Heart Mischief paper so now I just need to carve out some time to work on that.

Hope you enjoy the tag and I'll try and post some of the other projects I'm working on this week!
