Copic Cuties

I just can't get enough of the adorable Saturated Canary images! You can see my blog post here with some of the other cards I created using these images. I've been teaching a few classes on coloring skin and hair with Copic markers and these digi images are perfect for that! When all the hair strands are already drawn in by the artist, it makes deciding where the hightlights/shadows should go a snap.

I always start off by printing the image (or stamping it) onto a piece of scrap paper and then using a yellow marker to show where the highlights will be and a grey marker to show where the shadows will be. When coloring a new image I find this technique very helpful so I don't end up switching my light source half way through coloring the image.

These are the three cards I created:

 Skin: E00, E00, E11, R20
Hair: E55, E57, E59
 Skin: E00, E00, E11, R20
Hair: E07, E18, E19, E57
Skin: E00, E00, E11, R20
Hair: Y21, YR24, E55, E57

All the patterned paper is from the Authentique line called Uncommon.
