Cute Cards with Saturated Canary

Hello Crafty Friends!

Recently I decided to create cards for a couple friends who are pregnant. I figured the easiest way was to make two cards with the same pattern and image. Here is what I came up with...

I printed off two of the super cute Ice Cream and Pickles images from Saturated Canary onto Copic X-Press It cardstock (my all time favorite Copic paper) and colored them up with slightly different markers so they would resemble the people I was giving them to.
The colors I used:
Skin- E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair- Blonde Y11, YR31, YR23. Brunette YR31, E55, E57, E59
Yellow- Y11, Y15, Y17
Pink- RV14, RV17, RV19
Green- YG11, YG13, YG17
Blue- B21, B24, B26
Orange- YR02, YR04, YR07

For the patterned paper I used the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook collection from American Crafts. I love this paper pack for it's vibrant colors and subtle watercolor designs. The chevron design was created with some white cardstock and a chevron die from Paper Trey Ink.

I never usually take the time to add any detail to the inside of the card, but this time I decided to add a few strips of patterned paper. I love the pop of color! It also makes the card more cohesive since I used the same banner design from the front on the inside.

To add even more flair to these cards I grabbed some of my bright Distress inks and some floral stamps and created some matching envelopes. Just a few stamps added a big "wow" factor!

I had so much fun creating these cards! I hope you found some inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by,
