Glitter makes everything look better! One of my new favorite techniques is what I'm calling selective glittering. I've used this technique with a variety of thin metal dies. All you need is some micro fine glitter, thin dies and Scor-Tape sheets. My example is a birthday card I made for my Grandma. It's hard to tell just by looking at the pictures, but it's gorgeous in person.
First, add Scor-Tape to a piece of cardstock. Place the dies cutting side down onto the tape.
Roll through the Big Shot with both tabs open, cutting plate, paper, dies, No More Shims embossing mat and the final cutting mat.
Remove only certain areas of the protective sheet covering the adhesive. Cover the exposed areas of tape with glitter.
Keep glittering selected areas of the design.
Finally add a background color. I used gold glitter to create a contrast between the dark peacock feathers.
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial!
