Our fearless leader Nancy Klein chose our first colour challenge, Buttercup, Sorbet, New England Ivy, Gypsy and Lagoon as well as the basic colour pallet.

To create this fun masking effect, I first stamped the large purple rose and then I put two pieces of Post-It tape across the whole panel to keep part of it white with no stamping. Then I added all my stamping with the colours from the inspiration photo. The best way I have found to make sure this looks nice and crisp, is to make sure something is stamped over the edges of the tape all the way across. You will notice I didn't leave any white gaps next to the tape line. This helps that masked area really pop! I also used Second Generation stamping to create some variations in the colours.
On the inside I added the large flower stamp with leaves and a sentiment from the Belated Birthday (B1442) set. I love adding a little bit of stamping or paper to the inside of the card to tie everything together.
The supplies I used include: White Daisy cardstock, New England Ivy cardstock, Post-It tape, Purple Glitter Gems, CTMH inks: Buttercup, Sorbet, Gypsy, Lagoon, New England Ivy and Black Archival. I also used four stamp sets: B1419 Joyful Birthday, B1442 Belated Birthday, C1581 Inspiration Flourishes and C1576 Pick a Posey.
