Hearts of the West April Blog Hop

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my hearts Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The hearts of the west team was founded by Nancy Klein.

This months challenge is the Confetti Wishes paper pack which is a beautiful combination of Canary, Crystal Blue, Lagoon, Pacific, Pear, Thistle, Whisper and White Daisy. This pack and matching embellishments can be found on page 85 of the Annual Inspirations Catalogue.

If you came from Chantal Pearson's blog then you're in the right place. This is a go around blog hop so you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab a beverage and hop around the team with us!

I love using the matching Compliments (stickers) for each paper pack. It's such a fast way to add cute images and titles to cards or layouts! I used the stickers here for the cake and banners.

On this layout I used a My Creations Slate Paper Bag to create another layer and a pocket behind the main photo. Inside the pocket I placed a stack of photos from the same event. They weren't really great pictures and I didn't want to create extra pages for them. Instead I placed them in the pocket so I can still keep them but they aren't on display. This would also be a great place to store ephemera, birthday party invite or any other flat keepsake.

  1. What a great idea, using the bag for a pocket!! I also love the way you used the four different squares behind the main page. Really sets it off. I'm definitely going to try both those ideas!
