Embossing Diffuser and Inktense Pencils

Happy New Year!
I've taken a bit of a break from blogging, but it's the new year and time to refresh a few things including my blog! If you want to see what I've been up to over the past little while, make sure you visit my Facebook page

Today I have a fun project using the gorgeous Close to my Heart stamp of the month for January called Beloved Bouquet. This set features very useful sentiments and beautiful floral images that can either be stamped with solid colour or shaded in with your choice of colouring mediums. If you would like to get this set for only $6CAD you can place a Close to My Heart order before the end of January 2016 for $50(before shipping/tax).

I used white embossing powder to create the leaves and flower on watercolour paper and then used my vivid Inktense pencils (which I LOVE) to shade them in. Inktense are watercolour pencils so you can blend them with water, but the thing that makes them so unique is because the lead is made of ink it's permanent when dry. They can even be used on fabric!

For the background I used the Close to my Heart Quatrefoil Embossing Folder and the Circle Diffuser in my Big Shot machine to create the texture. The diffuser allows you to leave one area of the card with no embossing, which makes room for the sentiment! The thank you sentiment is stamped in black Archival ink for a nice, bold impression. If you want to see how all of this came together, check out my video below!

Thanks for stopping by,
